We've the exact same batch L723A765 Q6600, P5K-Dlx and Ballistix tracers 8500 on my side so it's nice to see that our Q6600 could hit 3.2ghz at low volts but I'm concerned with the insanely high CPU LOAD temp.

Are those temp reading correctly?! 85c maybe - 15c??!
What's your Tjunction temp? and VID?

I'd really like to know since we've the exact same batch

By the way, you're on watercooled and I'm on high-end air cooled so chances are mine will be hitting 100c load as your watercooled is already at 85c..that would be rediculous.. =.=

Please tell us that something is wrong...the temp can't be right for a G0 matched with watercooled...Even B3 stepping air cooled should't get this high...lol

I agree, try coretemp or speedfan or better yet both. If this ends up being the case then I will wait no longer to order a Q6600 regardless of the stepping.

hmm..anyone failed to see that the Tjuction temp is 100c so from what I remember with CPU that has Tjunction temp = 100c is you should substract 15c from the temp reporting at the core?! Becouse for C2D the Tjunction is 85c instead of 100c reported from quads, am I correct?

I have a b3 stepping and im hitting 3.2ghz with 1.31v 29Hrs Quad prime Stable, max load temps are 53-55c with swiftech H20-Premium kit

I guess ill be keeping my B3 stepping

Got mine ordered from ncix three hours ago, I also called them and the lady that answered was super, I asked her if they still had stock and she said they got a crap load of them I then asked about the G0 stepping and she said hold on I will go talk to our support people, when she came back she said all of their stock is G0 and SLACR

Very nice people, Newegg would never do that. So with their fastest shipping to the USA and all said and done under 300.00

Yeah but hell, even if you subtract 15C he is still loading at 70c on water! that still sucks and is no better than the B3's.

It looks like their current lot of Q6600s are all G0, so I'd say the chances of getting one from them are pretty good. The US storefront has the same warehouses as the Canadian one if you use the online checker.

I didn't realize they even had a US-based site and ordered from the Canadian one and had to use paypal.

if you got 50c Idle software dont read well FULL Temp , its impossible idle to LOAD temp go up 35c , and with watercooling ............

only if you dont have the storm correctly mounted (check the waterblock again )

Yeah, I agree on that.
Even 70c load on water is no good. Given that his actual Vcore is only at 1.32v and 1.35v BIOS set from P5K-Dlx + he's on watercooled.

Something must be wrong....G0 cannot possibly do worse than B3 in terms of temp and I'm not talking about their overclocking-abilities just yet.

This got me worried and I don't want to rip my Q6600 pkg opened just yet cos I've the exact same batch as Dazog...=.= L723A765 and I just don't see how this batch + G0 got anything to do with insanely high temp.

Possibly the G0 isn't reporting the temp correctly?! Keep in mind that this is a newer stepping maybe needs an update for BIOS or software that reads the temp may needed to be updated?? I hope it's either this or some else is wrong with his setup.

hmmmm i dont think coretemp/everest/speedfan read the core´s temp from bios , i think Bios only give socket temp (like CPU temp in Asusuite)

but you can always try other bios ................

well the storm block is not a good performer on dual cores so id imagine that its just piss poor on quads.
