Hi all! Im looking 4 change (finally) from my old SocketA. I decided to AM2 platform. With cpu and mobo I should choice? Ive read some threads here and on another forums and I think the best and cheap (its also important 4 me) choice is Abit KN9 + Brisbane 3600. I should looking 4 stepping 1 and revision BH+G1?

i wouldnt go with that one. it doesnt work with brisbanes according to all the pissed off people on newegg.
im going with a k9a platinum. its $129 but its also crossfire and overclocks well.

I would suggest to wait till September/October for new AM2+ motherboards and better CPUs.
all the people at newegg seem to complain about the same thing.
that the board ships with a bios that doesnt support Brisbanes this is DFIs fault.
can be solved by flashing it with a non brisbane or contacting DFI for a new bios chip.
and its chipset fan is utter crap .
i myself would go with the Biostar 560.
