    1. UT series - Best multiplayer games around in my opinion
    2. Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 - Brilliant storyline, great gameplay
    3. Freelancer - Amazing space action, great storyline
    4. Duke Nukem 3D - Amazing gameplay and graphics for it's time
    5. Serious Sam 1st and 2nd encounter - Innovating massive scale gameplay, fun too

No, I'm not even going to put Farcry on a top 100 if I had one. I went at it for the storyline, and got hugely disappointed, went at it again for the gameplay, got so bored I didn't even play it through.
Considered going through it again for the graphics, but realized that it faked half it's shining points and deleted the game.

    1. Baldur's Gate Series. Especially BG2 SoA and ToB.

Black Isle and Bioware's magnum opus. Isometric party control system, deep storyline/memorable cast of characters and voice actors, expansive spells, creatures and items that's faithful to the Forgotten Realms/D&D setting that no recent pc rpg games has ever come close to.

    2. Titan Quest/TQ: IT

    3. Max Payne 2

    4. S.T.A.L.K.E.R, followed by: Doom 3, Half Life 2, Quake 4, Far Cry, F.E.A.R

    5. Guild Wars

I know, I know it's supposed to be only 5, but had to list several in the FPS genre

    In no particular order:

    - Halo: Combat Evolved
    - Counter-Strike 1.5
    - Star Craft
    - Call Of Duty
    - Battlefield 1942

PS: Halo 2 is garbage, it's basically "UT01 halo skin ty edition with heat seeking rocket launchers", same with the halo 3 beta I've seen so far.

    This game was really excellent...

Some more FMV games : The Ripper, The Riddle of Master Lu, Gabriel Knight 2 and Phantasmagoria FTW!!

    *sigh*

I am still trying to find something that challenges or at least matches those games' ambience and addictiveness. Any suggestions?

Doom 2 was my first FPS, good times... I wiped Windows 3.1 to make HDD space for it! Medieval Total War almost made the list as well as FFXI, WoW and Deux Ex.
