Red face How many Coats of paint will i need ?

A short Question: How many Coats of spray paint will i need for painting the inside of the case ?

I got a mid-tower case n 3 bottles of black paint, n i can buy a few more if i need, i want a strong coat that doesn't wear off with time.

A professional told me that 2 Coats will suffice, but i want advise from my fellow XS members

    Just help me out

    Are you priming the surface?
Generally two should do for an interior. You're just after a full colour, not a deep show quality likethe exterior.

Depends on the quality of the paint. If decent stuff 2 should be fine, but I would either bake it in the oven between coats or wait 3-4 days.

Use etch primer as it eat`s into the metal for a better contact.

If you prime, go prime, 3 thin layers of paint within 15 minutes of each other, clearcoat 15 minutes after the last. This is for basic painting that you don't need baking or other more professional methods. If you do it this way you will get a nice almost car-like finish. You can take other people's suggestions such as sanding wet or dry, but in my experience you really don't need it if you start with a smooth clean surface.
