Thats where I've been getting tools from, some reason the valve removal tools are scarce, I'm kicking my self as once there was a kit with the re-threader tool and a chaser for 90 or so. Getting a process tube adaptor and perhaps the electric sight glass tool as it will cut down on production costs by doing a critical charge system with out the conventional sight glass for TXV units.

Allot of very nice deals on ebay for allot of the tools but yet again for some odd reason the core tools are rar for non automotive A/C & R

if you get a process adapter set you will need a ball pinch off tool to make those nice factory crimps,I use ratcheting refrigeration wrenches instead of the flat handle.

Ya I built a custom jig that does that nicely, but that tool would be much easier to utilize!

It not only has the ball end but 2 raised U that the ball pinches in between.you mentioned the process tube adapters so when I took pic of those gray tool boxes I threw a box of process tube adpters (back left) and a pinch off tool in to see if any noticed or asked whats that.

    No one did.

These are all personal tools that almost never get used, most are new or like new. When I retire I don't want to be tool-less

The tool I made was a modded pair of vice grips and a ball barring. When clamped it pressed the tube into the mold and pretty much cold welded the tube closed let alone clamped on.

Amazing what ya can to with a drill press an old ball Bering and a pair of pliers!

I'm still rebuilding my tool set, I lost so much when I was robbed blind in the city, it's been hell with out a full set of electrical test and diagnostic tools, at least they didn't get my DMM/Frequency counter meter (Measures capacitance and induction! Too!!)

I all so had a real nice set of tools for water systems that my dad gave me that was stolen

So much tools to buy yet! I think I'll lay out all my tools tomorrow and take a pic to give every one new an idea of what they'll need to get into serious building!

Do you know of any online shops I can order one of these? I just found a very handy use for such a compact tool!
