    3dm01 air challange?

There was this thread at another forum which made me do some more 8800gtx singelcard benching with aircooling in 3dm01. Previously my max was this on Evga 680i:

New drivers + new mb (DFI Infinity 965):

I've got more up my sleeve too:

    X6800 L627A664
    DFI Infinity 965
    2x1GB Teamgroup OPB Ed
    XFX 8800GTX
    Tagan 1.1kW

Cpu cooled by Scythe Ninja and gpu cooled with stock cooler + delta 120mm and removed casing for maximum airflow.

Would it not be better to put things on a level playing field if bench clocks were set, and ppl compete at the same point and it comes down to knowledge?

Any other way, it comes down to luck and money

I run about 1.55v idle, but I think less is possible.

Well, getting your hardware as high as possible with the right amount cooling and settings is also part of the game, but sure I could run some benches at lower speed for comparison. What clocks do you suggest?

Elmor, which driver and what LODs and test order bring you to 850 nature with such low clocks, i find it insane ?!?
    71.5k

Latest drivers 165.02, not very optimized run

This was with the CPU just at 3.820Mhz - so I still have 180Mhz to go

    Setup:
    - Asus PK5 Deluxe Wifi
    - QX6700 retail
    - Corsairs 8500C5
    - Tagan 900w
    - EVGA 8800Ultra Stock Cooler no mods

80K all air cooled, that's a nice challenge

Wow Kinc, you are going to be pretty damn hard to catch up to with those gfx clocks. I'm rooting for elmor on this one as he is the only guy in this thread w/o an ultra.
