    Hmm..

I must say that I really like the HDD solution in the bottom of the case (maybe ripoff, but so what, at least it gives some competition in price settings).. there is also lot's of available space for implementing your it-wasn't-meant-to-be-placed-there hardware.

There was a similar thread at hardocp.
First of all, this should be in case section.
This case is made by Lian Li per request from Aplus and distributed by Tagan in the US.

Its probably a Lian Li OEM design rebranded and sold by Tagan.

    Nothing new here.

I think companies should try to be more unique with their own brands rather than copying bit of other manufactures.

    That case doesn’t know whether it’s a TJ07 or a v2000 ha ha

I actually think that is the best of the Lian-Li V-series towers, with the exception of that display thingy in the front. V2000 has perforations I dont like, the V2100 has a door I'm not fond of. This thing has no perf., no door, still fits a ridiculous amount of radiator...and it's still a Lian Li (by a different name). I like it!

I've had this case for almost a month now. I'm learning the whole wet sand thing to make a real beauty of her. The advantage this case has over the lan-li is you can mount the radiator on top and pass your hose's through premade holes.

Yet another case with those round edges instead of corners. Good amount of space but I don't like it. Actually you'd have to remove the one brace down below to put any good-sized rad in there.

Not my cup of tea. I'll stick with my 3D Aurora 570

Good value in my opinion. You get a nice window and a front LCD panel already installed. I think to have those in a 2000 will cost more.

Nice looking case, wither way. Atleast it looks a bit different from the v2000... just a little.

That's another thing I like about it, not the holes, but the 2x120mm openings in the top. Say you are cramming a PA160 and PA120.3 in the bottom, where will all that exhaust go when drawing air from outside the case? With the Lian Li, it's kinda marginal unless you have the V2000 with holes all over. With this you have the solid body case, with great exit paths for air when doing a lot of intake in the bottom.

I'm such a New Tagen Case fanboy, eh?

I wouldn't complain considering that through NCIX.ca - us canuck's main source of hard to find parts, I'm sure lowfat can attest to this - is that the Black Pearl is nearly $100 (actually around $70, but still) cheaper than the li-li, and on paper - has a better featureset. Does the lian li have dual 120 top exhausts? No. Can you put a rad up there stock? Nope. What about slide out HDD cages on thumbscrews? Didn't see em on the v-series either. So uh, what does the v-series have on this tagan? Wheels, a cheesegrater front, and the lian li name.

Heh. I'd imagine that weapon core would look pretty weird on top of the case though!

I would never put a radiator/heatercore on the outside of a case. I am sure it would fit nicely in the bottom once a few holes were cut.

and the HDD racks pulled? Yeah more than likely. Throw the microres and pump down there too, pass the tubes through some nice 3/4" holes in the divider tray with grommets...

Ya I would remove the HDD racks. I had a Lian Li PC-V1000 before and had everything below, but i did use a smaller rad.

even if its a rip off of lianli 2000... i must say that its a very attractive looking case. probably a great case for watercooling project.
