Interesting how the extra 100cfm only pushed down temps by 3-4c on idle and an average 7c on load, but great job nontheless, it takes a lot of time to do this kind of stuff (especially patience for running prime95 for hours)

its not too surprising, because if you think about it, the heatsink can only dissipate heat up to a certain rate, so theres going to be a sweet spot where the amount of air the fan is moving over the HS equals the heat being radiated...beyond that it's just overkill and the extra air isnt picking up heat off the HS

thats jus my two cents ( based on limited engineering knowledge )

    CPU: qx6700 @ 2.66

Physics and thermodynamics mostly, not so much engineering.

I quite enjoy my 3 San Ace 38mm fans. 2 of them @ 5V isn't bad at all, still quieter than my 50Z.

its very funny to play with air,we can mix a crappy sink with a good fan and get a nice result

how much was the 260? (the 88cfm fan looks like it was around $24)
“You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like overripe fruit into our hands." Nikita Khrushchev
