Cool. I thank tweak town for their quick review. I would have liked to see more AA tests (CoH, STALKER).

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.
Another great TT review: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/11...red/index.html
Reviewers take notes.
I really like how they overclocked both cards to the max and benched them again and compared. Given its luck of the draw when overclocking it give you a good indication of what is possible.
i'm referring to this asus hd2900xt review

wait... let me get this straight, the drivers really suck for compatibility and performance for r600 and ati kept promising there is a lot of extra perf that can be tweaked out of the cards with better drivers, and now they improve their drivers for crossfire which actually slightly decreases the signlecards r600 perf?
I think that I am now set on getting an X2900XT . Now, just need to wait for the prices to drop...

Well, at least you get Open GL to run at all, all the older half-life based games wont even load/boot with the 7.5's on....... Weak....

Not sure how Vista rates gaming cards but Catalyst 7.6 lowered my mildly clocked HD2900 from a 5.9 to a 5.8; the same on my bros rig with an X1950XTX 512MB, from a 5.8 to a 5.7 in Gaming Graphics
I haven't noticed any difference in CS:S but I did get a BSOD in Media Center and a graphics card driver error report upon reboot telling me to get the latest drivers from AMD.
I guess I'll patiently wait for 7.6

General gaming performance has increased with these drivers on a HD2900XT 512MB, seriously impressed with this card! Much much better than the crappy GTS and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't feel upset getting this over an GTX/Ultra.
