2GB kit of Ballistix PC2-8000 for $88, plus shipping, after $40 rebate

People have been posting lately about how it appears that ram prices are back on the rise so imagine my surprise when I saw a brand new rebate offer at Mwave.

2x1 GB kits of PC2-8000 (DDR2 1000) for $128, less $40 MIR, then add shipping depending on your location and method for final price.

Link to entire Ballistix line, PC2-8000 is near the bottom.

Limit 2 sets (4 gigs) per household.

Started yesterday and good thru 7/6/07.

Note that the Packing Slip, not invoice, is needed for these Ballistix rebates from Crucial.

My total price for 4 gigs comes to right at just under $187 after rebate...just couldn't pass on it, especially since it appears that these deals might be on their last leg.

    Enjoy!

    Edit: fixed link

Thanks for catching that link error...fixed now.

I believe that I was in one of the "view specs" windows when I copied the shortcut and it must die when closed.

Since you posted your SPDs of the 6400s (showing DDR500 timings), I have seen posts from other guys (over at OCF) indicating the same on their sticks. Either Crucial decided to simplify things and use the same SPD for both sets or someone screwed up and put the wrong spreaders on a bunch of sticks.

In reality, if you overclock, the lines between the Ballistix 6400s/8000s/8500s becomes very blurred.

    That would worry me, too.

Hope you kept copies of everything you sent.
