Played with MCH at all? I know several people that used MCH with their Q6600s and had good success with it. 1.45v'ish @ 400x9 seems to be a good spot for Q6600s @ 3.6GHz. I'd imagine your Q6700 would be somewhat similar, but you shouldn't need quite that much since you have that 10x multi.

My default boot drive keeps changing?

Please help forum members. I've run into a strange problem recently where it seems the abit's bios is changing my default boot drive. Usually my default boot drive is a Fujitsu SCSI and is listed as "modus L". For some reason it keeps getting bumped to second place in the bios. About 2 weeks ago I booted into my xp drive to restore my vista drive. Any ideas?

Can't get Orthos or OCCT stable with current set-up
Hopefully someone here can take a peak and give me some tips...

    E3110 OC'd to 500x8
    running BIOS 17b2
    4 gigs Mushkin DDR2 800

All voltages set in BIOS seem to be spot on with what uGuru is showing in my screenshot except vcore which is set for 1.315.

    Please help, much appreciated.

what bios are you using?...did you change the bios recently?

have you gone into the bios recently to check that you have the "modus L" set as the first choice to boot from?

seems to me that you are about 100 mhz below target for Prime 95 stable run...i would raise your ICHIO to around 1.65 or 1.7 and then raise the FSB to 360 mhz.

did you do the heatpipe mod and add 2 fans to blow on the NB and PWM?

I think so, I actually got orthos to run a bit before crashing and it was dipping down to 1.27 very frequently.

Yeah on mine it seems the more I push the greater the vdroop becomes but as long as I compensate for it I don't think it's a big deal.

I believe it's 16 b3 I am using...it has worked great for months and months now. Yes, I have to move the SCSI (modul L) to the top of the list in bios nearly every time I have to reboot. It's getting worse and is nearly every time now. I just added a s/pdif header the other day, maybe I didn't get everthing back together tight (I doubt it but will check tonight). Any other thoughts are very welcome.

1.3625 is the top of Intel's acceptable range. Have you flashed to bios 16 yet?

So far 16b10 has been really good with my E8400. Very little vdroop compared to my old quad. So far 4Ghz 1.27v...

The IP35 Pro is about to get moved to its new home in a Rocketfish case this weekend. Will have to redo the watercooling and do some modding for my PA120.3 but I'll take some pics.

    Problem in my system

    My system consist of:

    -Abit IP35 Pro (Bios 16)
    -Intel Core 2 Duo E6850
    -Vista Ultimate 32bit
    -EVGA 8800 GTS 512MB
    -Corsair CM2X1024-8500C5D
    -WD Raptor 150MB (Raid0)
    -OCZ GameXStream PS 600W
    -X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatali1ty Pro

My problem is on the uGuru bios the multiplier is x9, however in windows with the CPUID 1.44.2 it shows x6 (underclock). I use the user define trying to fix it and it does the same underclock. Can anyone else has the same problem? I need help ti fix it.
    Thank you.

You may still have to adjust bios settings but the board won't underclock at idle in windows.

sounds like the bios is corrupted...you'll need to clear CMOS with battery out and don't forget to unplug the power cord...do that for about 5-10 minutes...once you go back into the bios, load the "optimized default" settings; save and then re-enter the bios to set up the way you want it.

    let us know the result.

EDIT:..if this does not work, i would suggest you upgrade the bios to a higher beta or go with the official 16 bios.

3.107 Uguru version should be the only version to use...it is the latest version that works in Vista 64...but...to close it, you have to use the task manager (under 'Applications' tab) in vista 64...32 bit OS, it will close out normally.
