The IP35-Pro is the choice for my new rig
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

I resolved my IE7 32bit issue by reformatting and installing Vista 32bit. Vista 64bit seemed ok, but that issue was a deal-killer for me. So, everything is back up and running normal now, with the internet working 100% again.

Looking at this or the P5K as possible replacements for my Killer 680i, also looking at 1066 dominators, and either an 8800gtx or a 2900xt...
I haven't found an option for 1T, hopefully that will be cured with a bios update.

    second that request.

also curious to see if this board can hit 600mhz FSB like some folks have reported with the P5K and DQ6. just how much of a difference is ABIT's 4 phase power design going to make vs. 8 for the P5K and 12 for the DQ6. or perhaps ABIT engineers have found a workaround?

The DFI Infinity P965 also has a 4 phase PWM but I haven't heard anyone complaining.

Aye maybe its Asus & Gigabytes way of willy waving the arcitecture & is only needed by their boards because they arent efficient enough to use less PWM's, maybe they need to get back to the drawing boards. lol

    540FSB 32M Pi run

This is my first attempt. Not too shabby. Only adjusted vcore, vdimm, MCH, and dimm timings. Considering 5 months ago I was struggling to get an RD600 to 500FSB this is quite remarkable. Apparently my CPU has a very high frontside wall. Boots into xp at 540 too.

i probably missed this somewhere but are these boards even any faster than the 965 or 975 or 650i or 680i ?

regardless of FSB, are they faster at the same FSB ? if they arent any faster,,, then,, i dont see the point unless you have a 6400 or 6300 and really really need to push it to the max.

    Hmm

With me it is somewhat strange, I can to approx. 415Mhz FSB stably in Windows work. Everything over 415Mhz remains hanging during the Windows load Screen, or there is a restart. With 500Mhz FSB and 1.25v MCH I come just as far as with 1.50v MCH and 425Mhz FSB. What is that? Memory not compatible? PCI Clk to far? I do not continue to know unfortunately no more! It lubricates each mark me with and the same place.
On the P5B Deluxe I can go also to min. 540Mhz FSB!

    My System:
    2x 1024MB Crucial BallistiX PC-5300U (Micron D9GMH)
2x WD Raptor 74Gig (no Raid)
    EAX1900XTX
    beQuiet 520W
    2x E6600

So far I like what I've read about this board. It's either this board or an Asus P5K Deluxe/Wi-Fi.

The Abit board is about $50 CDN cheaper as well.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

The guilty one is found to EIST, must be issued around a high FSB to reach! 490Mhz FSB with all MB tensions @ default! 510Mhz FSB tested with MCH @ 1.29v! Over it it does not create either the CCU or the RAM any longer.

I can not understand anything you wrote

I think you may of said you had to turn EIST off to get high FSB?

interesting 32M SuperPI at 540 FSB...i am wondering if you can raise the multi and lower the FSB for a higher overclock to see if you get a better 32M.

here is my QuadGT at 390 FSB...of course, it is probably my Q6600 that makes the big difference...it should be interesting to see how my Q6600 does on the IP35 Pro
