    Salvaged PC: My friend's "Junker"

SO... Someone asked me to fix some busted up computer for them. I said "Sure..."

    I open to see a DFI LanParty SLI 939, X2 4200, 7900GT, And a Water loop.

    Here's the "Busted up" computer:

    (See Atachments)...

(Yes, thats electrical tape sealing the reservoir valve.)

Oh come on...he can't even figure out how to fit the hard drive into the rack? That's like basic problem solving skills right there. Where the hell is Darwin when you need him?

I LOL'd at where the PSU is
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

I moved the HD and PSU, Wanted to see what they were.

Started cleaning all the gunk out of the WC setup... Ugh.

    EDIT:

When I got it, the WC was only 1/2 full.

And my friend got it from another friend, And neither of them know ****. The person who gave it to me is gonna use it as a POS \ Media center PC in a Hookah Lounge in Santa Cruz

Well, at least it looks fairly clean.

Neighbor from down the street asked me to look at her Compaq that was not reading from the optical drive. Said sure, just drop it off.

Got it......opened it up and the stench that billowed out from it was enough to make you gag.........not to mention the dead roaches and roach droppings thick enough to almost completely obliterate the metal inside. Almost lost my stomach there and then.

I threw it outside and told her to come get it......and never bring it back. Told her to take it to Best Buy to get it fixed (where she bought it).....always wondered how that went when they opened it up and found what I saw inside.
