Asus P5K Dlx P35: MB Temp = REALLY HIGH?

Well, i got my MB the other day and installed with the new rig.

    Case: Antec 180 with 120mm Yate-loons on
    CPU: E4300 @ 333x9 = 3GHZ
    vCore = 1.36V
    RAM: 4x1GB Crucial Balistix DDR-1000
    Cooling: Scythe Ninja + 120mm Yate-loon
    GFX: X800Pro Vivo
    PSU: Sparkle 500w

I began to run Orthos yesterday and the MB temp is wayy high. After I let it ran for 8hrs overnight, MB temp is at 50C while CPU temp is only at 38C in the morning. Orthos is stable, however, I'm worried about the MB temp.

Can someone tell me if you have the same issue?

The NB chipset sinks are pretty hot though. However, the CPU is still cool.

Is there anyway that can I help it cool better? There aren't a lot of room though

There's no temp sensor _in_ the NB chip.
I bet it's an external sensor somewhere near the CPU VRMs.
You were not supposed to see this.

Mine is 52°C full load (Asus Probe) in passive cooling. I cant touch the HS in 2 seconds.

So I bought a Asus heatpipe cooler in ebay. It's on the way

thanks guys, I'll try to lower the NB Voltage and see what'll happen.

safan80 - I'd love a fan over them, but no more room with that HUGE Ninja in there.

xs64 - Those looks good, what are they though? But you were having a tough time installing them right? I don't think I have good clearance either.

Those coolers are good. Load temp never get over 45°C (without fan) But i still love the stock HS so i took them to my old A64 system and use stock HS. With the Asus Cooler heatpipe, i think that's enough

Another interesting issue has popped up.

CPU temp is now off the chart. With the same setting before (clocks, ambient temp, etc.) it now goes from a 30 idle (higher than it was the first time) to 60 Full load. (this is using Asus Probe II as I did before).

I touched the Scythe ninja heat pipe (at the very base where it's close to the CPU) and the pipe is very cool, unlike the NB heatpipe, which is hot like it's supposed to.

Any idea what's going on? It wasn't like that when I first installed and benched it for 8hrs, it stayed in the 40s straight through out.

Is it a faulty report? sw bug? or is there any other sw I can use?

When I stopped Orthos, it immediately dropped to 30 like Idle of 30.

    Thanks.
