Who woulda thought that reversing a telephoto would give you that..

When I get my 70-300VR I will have to try this trick for macro shots. Until then, its no macro for me unless I want to use the Olympus C-8080WZ.

I usually use a 50mm lens mounted on the body then another backwards in front of that for 1:1

One problem I see with doing the reverse lense trick is the total lack of DOF. The in focus range is pretty abysmal.

Here is another taken with my cybershot at the San Francisco zoo.
My wife told me I could get a new camera, but I have to decide between a new camera and a new case for my computer.
I will get a canon xt or a nikon d40. I'm leaning towards the d40.
The last one isn't a macro but it was zoomed in pretty close to a cute ground hog.

2long4u, looks like you are a bit out of macro focus range there, except for the first pic of the blue thing. I'd try closer

Soul, to me they look in focus, just that the lens is VERY soft with macro.

They are in focus for the most part, what he meant is that they aren't actually macro in the sense that that are not 1:1. And I agree, I appreciate the attempt but not macro. Theres a very good chance that, unless you have a dslr and you have a macro specific lens or your using a reversing method, that your not actually shooting in macro.
