I'm not going to let you people dominate!

I don't own a macro lens so I used a my 35mm f/1.8G stuck reverse onto my 55-200mm f/4-5.6 with sticky tape. The more I zoomed in with the 55-200mm the harder it became to focus. Naturally, both of these are 'manual focus' and they are pretty much straight out of the camera. To focus you have to go backwards and forwards with your camera until your subject is in focus. Getting any form of decent sharpness was incredibly hard with what I had, I don't know how Marin pulled off the shots of the sugar.

Both shots are shots of a lime seed. I'd say the seed is around 5 millimeters in diameter. The second shoot is zoomed in really far and the line is just a line of focus. There was no physical line on the seed, it is just the extremely thin depth of field.

    Self-proclaimed and convincing.

Nice magnification there inCore. Focusing w/camera is routine in macro...get used to it, due to the minimal DOF. I find you need f/16> to get any DOF/decent focus, which means external lighting. I want to do the lens-reversing too, i just don't want tape or elastics holding them together. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for a reversing ring; Adorama seems to have some. I really like the macro...hence the reason my 1st new lens was a macro. I also figured with winter coming....if i'm stuck in the house, there's so much in the house(to keep me busy) that can be shot in macro, and look cool.

    A matchbook.

Just bought a new 2x teleconverter. Gives nice magnification..2:1. I chose this over ET's, as my working distance is already under 2" w/lens hood on..don't want/need to focus closer. Just using 2 desk-lamps w/15w CFL each side for lighting. 50% view(not crop). This 10x7 view is only 26% view of course.

How do I resize them with clickable pictures for full size? Someone mentioned I could do that but I have no idea how.

Hey admin, you need to add that to the editing options! That's right I'm talking to you! Get to work, chop chop!
