    is it actually worth it?

    hi,
i am about to get my new pc in about 1 week so i need to know what i am getting, so far i am looking to get:
    p4 2.4c (SL6WF-MAL=any good )
    msi neo lsr
    enermax 465watts
    western digital gb40 8mb
    etc...

now i dont know what ram to get?
i was looking at the ocz gold 3700 2x256mb, but is it worth it?
i mean can 3500 do roughly the same as the 3700? because there is quite abit of difference in the price, so basically is the ocz gold 3700 worth the money?

    thanks for your help

Well, if don't plan to OC then go with some good PC3200 ram.
I don't think the 3700 worth the cash, 3500EL will oc a couple of mhz lower but its cheaper.

I think the biggest dependant factor for p4's and ram choice is your cooling.

If you plan on using anything less than a water rig, skip the OCZ3700 and go for the 3500el or 3500pt. I don't know the conclusion yet on twin3700/ch5.

thanks, now that i have ppl who are saying it is really good i think i will get some
the only problem is, i can not find any shops that sell the ram!!!
could some 1 please tell me which sites sell the ocz gold stuff, i live in the UK so is there any sites in the UK, in europe or usa that sell the stuff? as long as they can ship the ram to the UK and it does not cost an arm and a leg to get it.
so could some 1 please help me find the ram i am after?

    thanks for your help

    http://www.pc-memory-upgrade.co.uk/

Check there, havent looked myself, based in ireland so not stich up taxes.

The other way is to look on ocz's resellers list, there are a few in the uk overclockers.co.uk stock ocz stuff although theyve banned me from there forums for doing some sum's lol... Wont be buying from them again.
