My favourite browser of all time is Opera, v9.64 at the moment. Can do everything I want to do right out-of-the-box.

Too bad SRWare Iron is not listed, since that's one of my other favourite browsers at the moment (it's the same as Google Chrome BUT without all the privacy invading stuff! Chrome can p1ss off!) See here for a comparison between SRWare Iron and Google Chrome: http://www.srware.net/en/software_sr...me_vs_iron.php

I'm sure there's better out there, but I still use only IE 6. It comes with WinXP and I'm too lazy to download and play with another browser...

Umm, most of those "debunkings" are crap. They use FF2 for a majority of the comparisons and a lot of them are totally unfair match ups or faults against FF that you could apply to any browser. I believe this is an example of "lies, damn lies, and statistics". Don't get me started on the BS they wrote for the web compatibility portion.

Stop what you are doing and get a better browser. IE is killing the internet (especially IE6). I spent at least a good 5 hours yesterday making my code work in IE8, when it worked perfectly in all other browsers and was completely standards compliant and IE8 is infinitely better than previous versions as far as standards go. If you are using IE6, you are not viewing the web, you are seeing it at is it was years ago. This would have been a real issue had I not been getting paid per hour on this project .

I have been using Opera 10 beta as my secondary browser and I love it; especially for older/less powerful comps like my tablet. FF will always be my #1 Browser because it has add-ons that really simplify my life, but I can totally see why it has such a devote following. I like it even better than Chrome and that is saying something.

LOL I'm going to agree with faster3200. Unless it's a joke, download IE7, 8 or anything. At least something w/ tab browsing.

Opera 10.10 beta released with Unite officially included...so I think that Opera is not just a browser anymore..
It's something like an internet suite..

I currently use Firefox the most. I also used to use Chrome but it has some small things that disturb the flow of use. For instance, you can't tell it to "open only" a file instead of saving it all the time. Also Chrome has some problems with opening some pdf files. Firefox might be a little slower but it just gets the job done without a problem. Same goes for Internet Explorer 8. Opera is probably nicer and faster of all but it really does not work in some of my sites so Firefox stays the best choice because it actually works.

Firefox gets my vote. Hate Internet Explorer with a passion, biggest POS browser ever created, and its a shame that a giant software company isn't even competent at making a browser that suits everybody's needs.

My number one choice is Opera followed by Firefox (prior to 3.x). Why isn't Safari on the list? That's my number three choice.

I've got problems making Fire Fox 4 Beta working with chatzilla or going online from the public transit, but otherwise it works fine

    - ...so I use Chrome when I'm in public transit.
    - Internet Explorer to go to myspace, because my friends use so many CSS codes and post so many pictures there, that it looks like a big mess in FireFox and Netscape, only Internet Explorer shows their pages correctly. (the more crappy codes they post, the slower their pages load and the more annoying myspace gets!)
    - I use Safari in school, when my teachers forbid me to download Fire Fox.
    - In all other cases I use Fire Fox. O.o

yes sure google Chrome is the best browser, when i first downloaded it, my internet was running at a lighting speed, i even checked my speed
    http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/
and it was normal too, hitherto i used firefox which chocked my browsing capabilities .
But the only one advantage with firefox is that it has more add ons, which makes things much easier

Firefox. All other browsers should be illegal. Especially IE and Chrome.
