    Tuniq, Enzotech or Thermalright

I am having a hard time choosing between the Tuniq, the ultra-x and the ultra 120 extreme. I am going to be putting this on an e6600 but will probably move it to a quad later in the year. I have used Thermalright sinks in my last 3 builds but is the price difference going to be worth it this time? Tuniq shipped is around $60, the Enzotech is right around 70 and the Thermalright will come in around 85 after a fan is added.

i dont have the ultra 120 extreme yet, but for now I'd choose the Tuniq. I have 3 of them and they're well worth every penny.

Thermalright has been great for me forever. Best build quality out there. Yeah Enzo's base might be flatter but where is the fun if you can do some of the work yourself. And I can't wait to see the IFX-14.

just look at thermalright and sunbeam. thermalright updates their ultra 120 with 2 more heatpipes and call it the extreme. sunbeam updates their tuniq with an led fan and calls it premium.

i agree. enzo has nice copper finish and performs better...ifx may top it...

the enzo takes a bit more room but, because it is oriented with the fan horizontal.

and and i prefer horizontal fans to cool down the area around the cpu without the need to place a 80mm fan in a ghetto mod to cool them

The stunning performance difference between the Ultra-120 and the Ultra-120 Extreme is worth every marketing suffix they can think of.

Shaved 15C off my quad core temps.

You know, on a side note, I think I am having some issues with my Tuniq Tower 120. I installed it, re-applied the AS5, and I am not getting very good temps, imo. Or maybe I am just crazy? But in a 75F degree room I am getting idle temps of 36C degrees. At load that spikes as high as 48C. Seems high to me....but then again, I have not gone through the entire burn in process on the new AS5... /shrug

    *EDIT*
Forgot to mention I also am relying on the uGuru from Abit to monitor temps, which by the way works like a steaming pile of crap with Vista, even though Abit says it is Vista certified...

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme its a very good cooler, high quality aluminium, and a very good performance.

I never tested any Enzo, and I never saw one in Portugal, but Tuniq its worst than this Thermalright in my point of view.

I have the Ultra 10 Extreme with a Noiseblocker Xl2 (full speed), (nothing special) and it makes in my 3.2Ghz 1.35V Vcore E6400 this temps:

    Idle:39º
    Full:46º

The cooler it isn't lapped, and the thermal grease was Zalman STG1.

Based in performance results. I choose Thermalright for its performance, and in some reviews Thermalright was better than Tuniq.

I also know that this kind of reviews most be done with the same fan, but all the reviews that I saw Thermalright had a better performance.
