Comments on my new setup and a few questions

I'm posting for a friend until his account gets activated here, so here goes...

First off, here is what is on the way or already here:

    D-Tek Fusion CPU Waterblock

    Swiftech MCW30 Chipset Waterblock

    Swiftech MCR320 3x120mm Radiator

    Swiftech MCP655 Pump

    Swiftech Micro-Res

1/2 ID 3/4" Clear Danger Den Tubing

    eVGA 680i Southbridge Cooler

    Artic Silver 5

    UV Reactive Pentosin

Panaflo 120mm38mm Fans (I don't remember which model as they are back in Texas while I am away on business, but I believe they are 100cfm+)

    System Specs:

    Intel C2D E6600

    eVGA 680i SLI

    eVGA 8800GTX

    2x1GB OCZ Gold XTC DDR2-1000

So, opinions on the new setup?

Now on the real reason for the post...to pick your collective brains!

When mounting the radiators, is there a performance benefit to vertical or horizontal?

What should I use to seal the threads as I tighten the barbs?

What temps should I expect to see on the CPU/Chipset?

What is the best loop order for my setup?

    Res --> Pump --> Rad --> Fusion --> MCW30 --> Repeat

I plan on starting the build this weekend and working on my new case at the same time so if I need to order anything else, now would be a great time to know!

    Thanks in advance!

Ditch the evga SB cooler fan. That thing is noisy as hell. I'd suggest either another MCW30 waterblock or the Thermalright HR-05-SLI heatsink instead.

Radiators won't have their performance affected by orientation. However, you should position it in the best way to get the most cold air flowing against it.

I suggest using worm drive clamps for peace of mind. Nothing is more secure than that. However, you could get by with the plastic hose clamps or even zip ties.

Temps will depend on your ambient temperatures, your mounting, how much you're OC'ing the CPU, and how well your rad is being cooled. Too many variables to guess.

Loop order doesn't matter as long as the res is before the pump. Just use the shortest amount of tubing as you can.

    Your parts list looks fine.

Rads can be mounted pretty much anyway you want.

If you don't have metal barbs w/o-rings then some teflon tape on the threads works just fine.

Hard to tell what your temps will be beforehand.

Loop order doesn't make much difference. Just make sure your res is feeding your pump. The rest should be laid out in the shortest most logical way you can.

edit--hehe, Ranker beat me to it

    tubing go masterkleer or tygon...
yate loon 120mm fans are nice and cheap try SL or SM variants

performance depends on where you mount your rad and fan configs...

barbs are usually with O-Rings, so hand tighten then turn a quarter with wrench
o-ring should bulge a little and not get squeeshed deformed...

is there a new case involved too?

GPU water cooling? they will get loud....

personal wire sleeving wire management misc stuffs...
