    What 4GB DDR2 for ASUS P5K-Deluxe?

Have decided to build a P35 rig and I'm leaning towards going with 2x2GB.
Will probably be putting Vista on it for DX10 support for Age of Conan.

I'm looking for good quality RAM that will not limit me from a good overclock.

I don't HAVE to get the RAM today, I'm willing to wait a month if anything worth waiting on is coming out.

I've had good luck in the past with Mushkin and was considering something
    like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146692

Youd rather go for 4x1 GB if you want a good overclock. 2x2 GB arent clocking as good. Plus for Intel, it makes no difference.

GSkill 6400HZ are selling for a killer price, and are amazinly HOT now :P. Hot looking new Heatspreaders i.e.

    I suggest you get 2 2GBHZ kits.

    Heres the new Heatspreader..
Sorry for a bad quality pic, frnd took it with a SE K750i..

    Those are my frnds.

    Mine are off @ RMA.
G.Skill still hasnt sent me a replacement . They keep saying its shipped, but it never does. They cant seem to communicate with their taiwan office for some reason. Lol.

Ill be ordering 1 more 2GB Kit, once I get my RMA Tracking Id etc, confirmed.

I've had people tell me to go with 2x2GB for overclocking. Something about
2 sticks is easier for the memory controller to push or something

I'm really just looking for DDR2-800 with fast timings.

    I was thinking about:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146690

Expensive but it's 4-3-3-10 (I would be happy with 4-4-4-12)

I have some g.skill 6400HZ's but unfortunately the sticks I got weren't that great.

I suggest getting some crucial PC8000 they're clocking really nice and they're really cheap on ebay.

Mushkin is one of the only companies that let you buy direct from their website, and they undercut the retailers on price by quite a bit. They also have an extra discount for xtremesystems members. Check out the mushkin support forums here on XS for the code.

It seems alot of people are RMAing those G Skill HZ's. Not to say they are bad, just seems to be alot of RMA's. From what I hear when you do get a good pair they clock very well.

Their forums are fubar'd. I registered and it never sent me the email to activate. I registered again, with a different email address. It never sent me an email to activate.

I have 2 sets of these in my P5K Deluxe:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145034

I just hate the fact that Vista x32 only sees 3GB!!

I could switch to Vista x64 and get all of my ram, but I am worried about drivers.

    Why not get pc8500 ?
From what I've read the Crucial Ballistix pc8500 are doing very well with crunching numbers Me personally want to get off the pc6400 bandwagon.

Couldn't find the xtremesystems discount code and the same RAM was a little more expensive on Muskin's site so I got it from newegg.
