    Dual Channel Question

    I currently own Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AL1005 - Retail .If i buy a set of Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model BL2KIT12864AA1065 - Retail ,will the 4 modules work in dual channel?Or i must buy the same type?

    they will work in dual channel but u need to set their speed to the same mhz

    DDR2-800 for both should work fine

    they will work no problem... only issue will be that the limit if any ( for overclocking) will be the lower limit memory (8000) will determine settings... as in a chain is only as strong as the weakest link
