Lightbulb A quick 1st look: GA-G33M-DS2R, mATX P35 mobo (pic heavy)

Posted this in VR Forums, just thought you guys might be interested too.
    http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=150924

Going to leave the full review to the pros so here I am just posting what strikes me as it comes, hope you guys find it useful in some way...

Think it is probably the 1st mATX P35 available locally but I couldn't find much info on it on the www. Just got back and set it up for a quick 1st look,

Simple all black front panel headers,

    Tight corners around NB,

as well as video and RAM slots,

    Device galore on POST screen,

Most impt question everyone is dying to know, does this mATX P35 support enough overclocking to kill the present King of the Hill mATX C2D mobo? Check out the BIOS options then,

You want FSB you say... how about getting 700?

    More juice too?

    RAM it up next!

Look like a very good HTPC board. The blu-ray/hd-dvd means its support HDCP right? interesting

Just hope it doesnt require the same brand of graphic card like their other low end mobo lineups

Move over Abit, running at 400:500FSB with cheap Hynix sticks is no sweat at all,

PS: all settings ie. voltages/timings at AUTO presently.

I wouldn't worry much about vdimm selection. As long as it goes from 1.8 to 2.2, that's +0.4v, which is quite good. Vdimm pencil mods are real easy to find. So if you set your baseline up to say 2.0v, you've already now got selection up to 2.4v.

430 wasn't too stable with Orthos but 420:1050 seems stable so far with slight push in voltages, 1M SuperPi has gone sub-19s

Going to try to get 430FSB stable later hopefully.

    nice!
Can you give us all your voltage settings?
    ram@2.2 for sure.
you are using a 7300gt (not onboard), that's it?

Slight increase to the Vcore, Vdimm, Vmch, Vfsb - 1.375v, +0.2, +0.2, +0.2 respectively, these are probably not optimised settings but for now, they suffice.

@xkon, fyi my locality is SG and I got this from the local GA distributor, they are already selling at the shops for the past week though.

    @MacClipper
    Need your help on something
Open the manual that came with this board, in the PCIe slot/graphic adapter section
Does it say that this mobo need specific type or vendor of VGA card to work with?
    Thanks
