    E6420 vs E6320 vs E6300

    I need advice on which cpu to choose to go into my new build

    So far:

    Buffalo FireStix 2GB (2 x 1 GB) DDR2 800 PC2-6400 SDRAM
    EVGA 8800GTS Superclocked 640MB
    ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Motherboard

    Which cpu would be best to go with that lot.

    Get a normal intel E6300 with L2 Cache - 2 MB and overclock or get the new version E6320 which has L2 Cache - 4 MB.

    Or get the E6420 which ive heard is a better chip again. Will the L2 Cache - 4 MB on the new version make a difference.

    Any help please

    I would choose E6320 or E6420 because they have 4mb L2 cache

    Definitely E6420. That mobo screams for the higher multi. If you had a P965 mobo you could have gotten away with an E6320.

    The L651B is good. Mine worked very well (3.2GHz at stock vcore) and they can be had drom tankguys.com. The other etailers are hit and miss relative to stepping as I got an L644G that didn't perform as well as the L651B when OCing.

    tankguys.com is no good for me because im from the UK.
    If i was to buy one from ebay boxed and sealed would i be able to ask the seller the branch code wouldnt it be on the box?

    Yeah it's on the box and L652 seems pretty good. Just stay away from L644G.

    Definately. From what i've seen, 3800mhz is average for a L629F. Mine does 3800mhz with 1.46v
