I know it belongs in the deals section, but I figure some of you might be coming here and would appreciate it. Kind of a large rebate, but it should be fine. Shipping comes to around $7.

Only problem with this psu is that it's kind of long at 7" and I won't be able to fit it with my 2x120 mounted internally up top.

Nice deal but note it uses 2 80mm fans and not 1 120mm fan like the 500w version

so noise maybe an issue..according to Johnnyguru..at a moderate loud it is "noisy"

just to warn you but sometimes ultra doesn't accept or validate those rebates

ditto. I got my rebate for the ultra wizard in about a month and a half. Got my rebate for the v-power in 3 weeks!! The microfly rebate took longer, at 3 months though.

actual experience, they claimed that someone already received a rebate using my UPC number. Which basically put me up s creek

I saw this at my local frys (w/o the rebate) and it was one of the cheapest PSUs. But also saw at least 5 returned units labeled for resale

I mailed SEVERAL rebates from frys, and NONE of them came...
Isn't that the super crappy PSU that gets like 60% efficiency? Well if the rebate really does come it might be worth salvaging parts from

mid to upper 70's. really not all too bad for old tech psu's, especially given the price. find something better for $7

Same experience here. I bought a 500w Xconnect (for $50) that's supposed to be free after two rebates. I only got the $10 rebate from Fry's, never got the $40 from Ultra. Other people have had problem as well, so it's a dice roll.

Older unit models like this Ultra are very bad quality build. Only buy this as a emergancy pws.

Newer units like the x-pro series are alot better build quality OEMS from Andyson but those will never become this cheap lol

My $40 rebate for the Ultra Wizard case they had came in after a month. It's really hit or miss will all rebates, I don't buy anything based on the rebate unless it makes it free w/ free shipping.

My friend got two Ultra rebates in yesterday after a couple of months of waiting.

awdrifter - I've never known dual rebates to work...esspecially when they both want your original UPC code.
