They'll do awesome for sure, been testing the hell outta them and seems like ~615 4-4-4-6 is 100% stable, as is 620 4-5-4-10. Haven't gotten to CAS 5 yet but 650 should be doable. They don't like voltage that much, keep em around 2.5v.

They're also insane at CAS 3 if you ever get the inkling to try that.

I did that run at 2.3v. I'll save the 2.5v for serious bench sessions.

hey, i opened the same competition some weeks ago:

    http://www.hardwareoc.at/forum/thread.php?threadid=2774

i also did some ram comparison:

2x512 vs. 2x1024 vs. 2x512+2x1024 vs. 4x1024: (durchschnitt means average) (no tweaks - just started spi after booting)

i tested each setting four times and took the average.
    maybe somebody can explain?
    thanks

Finally got these Ballistix in my rig and running. Only took 5 weeks, plus I got to pay $290 for them instead of $101.

Anyway here is my first attempt, hopefully I can get my time down just a little bit more .

How did you get DDR1000 on the AW9D? I used to be able to do it but I can't remember which bios it was.... If I could I'd prob be a ble to even compete.

I got a better time but I feel like I cheated, I don't know if we should really be allowing any speeds above 3600. Anyway I guess I am now tied for 1st .

I don't think so . Of course 400x9 2:3 with E4300 or 514x7 with QuadGT should be better, but this is not that bad, just 2MB cache. Anyone with Allendale to compete?

BTW, personally I think that max frequency should be 3600 flat, I don't understand why it should be any higher...

It was a joke JMKS! Max speed is over 3600 as some boards multiply differently and others will not run 400

Yes I know. The bigger = the better, isn't it? And really - Allendale users, post your results please . Or there are no "xtreme Allendale users"?

Well, yes, "some boards". But... people with "some boards" can run @ 3598 etc no? Or just discover which boards can run CPU @ what MHz and make it clear. 3609 is as good as 3600 or any other - 401x9 is also a number which "some boards" (I don't know exactly which boards and why ) may find difficult to reach "flat". And I think it should be a round number .

Most of the similar contests have this sort of leeway and I don't like it either. Btw folks, its not I'm incapable of running at 3609 either. But I'd prefer not to.

JMKS his score is damn good, trying to beat that, but im stuck with my memory. What board are u using JMKS?

I bought a kingston 2gb 667mh kit for 71 euro (cheap) which can hit 1080mhz cas5. I hope it can do better timings at 900mhz then my OCZ pc6400-rev2. Only 100ms left to beat JMKS :P

Asus Commando. If You are on Abit, You are on 1066 strap (like me, no results on the 1333 is worth mentioning, my CPU reaches its FSB wall slightly after the board @ 1066 strap), so the challenge is fair . Maybe I can go a little lower but not much if any.
100ms in 1M is huge difference IMO, I remember how I was fighting for sub-14s 1M on unmodded P5B-Dlx (so 1333 strap was the only way to reach 470+ FSB), 514,6x8 (CPU FSB wall), a couple or more hours of hard work and finally 13,985s from the "instant" 14,078 @ 513,3x8 on my 24/7 OS .

GoodRAM PRO, the same (Polish ) brand as Zbogi used for the X6800 frequency WR IIRC . This memory is very good with "normal" voltage, 800 4-4-4-4 @ 1,8V stable, 1000 4-4-4-4 @ 2,225V stable, and 1100 4-4-4-4 even 1M not reachable with any V (2,65V tried). Micron D9GMH but PCB is not that good.
And the subtimings is I believe mostly chipset dependent, not only the memory. In that case 1,85V @ NB in this run to be sure it will be enough .

It is Your topic so You make rules ...
But i think that 3609 is not equal 3600 ... so I will try 3609 if it is acceptable ...

3609 is no problem, it's what I'm using as this board at 400 sets 399. (but performs slightly higher methinks)
Anyone know how to get Word to keep the place numbers? It's getting really hard to keep track of all these.

I also have a new score at 1000mhz mem:
