Anyway, there is actually quite alot overclocking headroom in R600 GPU and AMD GPU Clock Tool seems to be working just fine. I had a problem with Powerstrip beta-version which was limited to driver's limits. Now we just need to wait for new version of ATITool which brings voltage adjustments for R600 and I'll run tests under dry ice cooling. Hopefully that'll be next week.

PS. 1000/1000 MHz clock speeds at techPowerUp!'s screenshot are pretty modest

1000/1000 is pretty impressive (if it's really that easy to obtain those clocks)

Sure LN2/D.I./Cascade cooling is fun, but 24/7 gaming ready is what matters.

agree 100%. I am expecting mid 800's for core and late 900's on memory for 24/7 with a half decent clocking card.

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

okay, sampsa:perhaps you can answer this:Somewhere there was a quote(from Kombatant?)where he states that people are going to be pleasantly surprised?Any information on what he's talking about?Or is that part already been covered in a preview?I just wanted to know in what point of view we'd be surprised..

What can your card really do on air in 3D mode? Thanks.

Yeah. For every overclocker this card will be a wet dream For me its always nice to know that there is much headroom by just removing more heat.

Those who like to build with watercooling will find the perf. gain from building with a high end watercooling system very pleasing.

But on air? How bad will it be limited?

I know I've been tossing the idea of going water again but not really 100% sure yet.

Dammit, time to shell out for that new Thermochill PA120.3...my BIP3 struggles to dissipate the heat from an X1900 @ 750/820.
