What a deal! Ordered my set just now with Google Checkout $10 offer. To think I paid more for my 1GB PC2-6400 Tracer kit just a few months ago, than for this 2GB kit...

But, 2.2 volts to get 4-4-4-12?

Ballistix have always been rated at 2.2v...

    DDR667 3-3-3-12(?) at 2.2v
    DDR800 4-4-4-12 at 2.2v
    DDR1000 5-5-5-15(?) at 2.2v

I am betting this will run 800 at less than 2.2v....

BTW, I got in on this but was careless and when I got to shipping..I saw std and thought this equaled free..so I hit submit....WRONG STAND was $6 shipping...BUDGET is free

It would run it on a tad less.

    Should do 4 4 4 = 500Mhz at 2.4 or so.

Thank for the explanation on volts; I just ordered this set. We'll see if my DS3 Rev. 3.3 (I have a Rev. 1.0 too) can run them without the BSOD, or if it kills them.

WHY ARE THESE SOO CHEAP??? It smells soo much like the Patriot Extreme Performance DDR800 that used to have Micron then switched to Elpidia and the price dropped like $100 overnight. And now that same NON-MICRON patriot extreme is like $114 after rebate!!! I am thinking about switching to these Ballistix but dont want to get burned again like I did on the Patriot.
Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.

well that is always a possiblity but Ballistix DDR1000 were just $131 from mwave so at $100...not too far off

the DDR1000 have always been good D9 chips..AFAIK all the ballisitx have used D9

Crucial is owned by Micron. Why would Micron use non-micron chips in their own memory? It could possibly be lower grade Micron if anything.

They have and will from time to time. They do it when they run out of their own memory.

I think I have the solution to buy.coms poor service. You order the part, then you log back on and cancel your order a couple hours later. Not wanting to loose the sale, they will just process your order and ship immediately to avoid your cancelation.

    Think that would work?
