    For the people who said warcraft 3, have you played WC1, WC2, or even Starcraft? They all had much better storylines IMO.

    No. Warcraft 3 was awesome. Maybe not the story so much, but the different characters, i want a RTS like it now.....

    Final Fantasy 7 and Lunar Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue on PSX are simply superb only cuz of the story and characters, nothing else. Since FPS games are meantioned for some weird reason here I only say for me the only FPS game (or rather RPG if you prefer that) with decent story is Deus Ex but it still doesn't beat the good RPGs out there cuz an RPG without a good story is like a computer without a motherboard.
