This is like one of those stories that doesn't sound real. It started with three indipendently funded dudes, a programmer and two artists, working out of an apartment. They grew into a nice-sized development studio in about two years witht he help of a mystery publisher.
The only things that can ruin this story is if EA is funding them. Even if they make a crummy game, the awesome engine is still there.
I fyou watch the G4 video, they mention it's running on the computer at the show, and this is an older episode.
And on top of it all, the nerdy lead programmer can hold a conversation... unlike Sweeney.

Its a worthy game for sure. but they ran out of funding at some point and dropped the website so whoever was paying for it dropped financing if at least for a little while.
Either whoever is funding them just wanted them to be top-secret. LIKE EA DID WITH SPORE!!! If it wasn't EA, why would they keep it a secret?
That's not a bad idea. I'd enjoy it.
