We've made the hall of fame boys !!!

    To my fellow teamates

I have very exciting news for you guys...in announcing that as of the 6-27-02 update ....XtremeSystems.org has 4 3Dmark teamates in the Hall of Fame Top 10 at MadOnion. OPP, JCViggen, bmg and after finding out via email from a fellow bencher...found myself sitting # 10.

We are joined by our fellow bencher and friend Macci and 3 of his VR-Zone teamates in the top 10.

I would like to take this moment, on behalf of XtremeSystems.org, to congratulate each and every 3Dmark bencher in the Hall of Fame Top 10. It takes real dedication and perserverance to mod and tweak their systems to get the ultimate performance and now....the Ultimate reward. My hats off to all of you for being the BEST of the BEST. Keep up the great work my friends

We shouldnt only be lusting after the overall top 10 positions, but should do so in all recent video card sections (e.g. Geforce 2 and up, 8500 etc...).

Icee and Myself hold the number 1 and 2 positions on the GF2 Ultra section (discounting the slightly 'off' results above us).

Even PC Mark should be done, for the simple reason it too has a ladder, and however flawed it is, OS.org should occupy as many positions as possible.
    Set me free.

I was just reading another thread and I noticed a team member telling someone not to worry about artifacts when benching ! So it made me wonder , are all of these scores with artifacts ?

The 2.5 is a dud. My 2.26 is almost as high a overclock yet with a higher fsb lower multiplier.
I was able to run the 2.5 at 178 and my memory was at 238, this was the whole plan, but it scored terrible in 3D, 15900. I guess the Less agressive timeings did it in.

So Macci, what Rambus mobo do you recomend?? It's time to try some RD, the DDR is maxed

OPP, yeah I figured the 2.553 should have hit over 3.4G in order to match ur 2.26Gigger

if you planning to go rambus maybe try the new gigabyte i850 mobo GA-8IHXP or ASUS P4T533C. both of those need some modding cos the FSB is limited to 156MHz by the mobo PLL chip. new ASUS P4T533 32bit mobo should go to 200FSB from the bios and there is also some AOpen i850E mobo that goes over 200FSB.

The 2.5 does do about 3500mhz but barely and your still down in the 180 fsb range so it doesn't do much. In fact the 178/238 scored higher then just 184 straight up.

I was thinking about the the Asus P4T533, where would you get the 32bit??

I get it know, the p4t533 is the latest version. The "C" one is out and about but I want to stay away from it, is that right??

Yups the "C" is the 156FSB limited version and uses normal PC800 or PC1066
the 32bit P4T533 comes w/ the RIMM4200 (= 2 x PC1066 stuff in one mem module) and according to some reviews it may hit as high as 161 4x RDRAM mode. So the RAM should run at well over 200FSB in 3X mode if your even somewhat lucky W/ that stuff
