I placed many orders with www.sidewindercomputers.com in the past, never had a problem with them shipping to the UK, think I'm gonna email them to request shipping cost for that Ultra 120 Extreme...

Time to measure my tower ATX case for clearing space, 16CM from socket to side casing right?

Edit: more than enough clearing space, time to order the darn thing...

Why are people asking for temp tests, thought everyone had read the previews of the heatsink already, shouldn't be any surprises with it, should beat all but the IFX-14

What I want to know is the compatibility of it on various boards, my NB fan looks like it will have to be removed to accommodate this heatsink

I can't seem to find a compatibility list of mobo's that will fit, not on the thermalright site either, guess I'll find out in a few days.

Hard to say, but going from the BT to the original Ultra-120 was a 6C saving for me, so I would guess maybe 8 or more degrees saving?

TR=Thermalright and the mounting from Big Typhoon isn't compatible with the Ultra 120.

Yes, load temps with same fan. What is more impressive is that the BT took fresh cold air from a ducted side air intake, whereas the U-120 feeds from the front, which is always few C warmer .. so that 6C is more like a 10C gain in efficiency. Once I added a silent nexus in the 5" drive bay to pump fresh air into the case, and added a second quiet Scythe fan push/pull, I was 11C cooler than with the BT.

I was a huge BT fan, but the Ultra-120 is awesome. Hard to believe they can still keep on improving air cooling so dramatically.

I have the TTBT and IMO its not really that great. Full load at 3.6ghz i can top out at 64C and this is with a 150CFM fan!!

I'm very confident that i'll get at least 10C drop with the ultra extreme.
