    Mentaly`s Prometeia Experience :)

    Hi all

Well just got it , it`s all setup and compared to the Vapo it ROXXX , my vapo kept my 1600+ @ 2 gig at 38 degrees full load, (maybe somethings wrong with it)
The Prom... keeps it at -6to-7 degrees full load , I must say i`m very impressed with the Prom... not just because of temps but because of the way you set the the coolerhead on it`s so easy, not like the vapo where the core is danger every time. On the prometia they made it so simple, in my opinion everybody would be able to do this.

    Evap temp idle = -40
    Evap temp load= -35
    Core temp idle = -15
    Core temp load=-6to-7
    Room temp = 23

These readings are after 4hours full load.

Again I have no where to put pics of it all, I have used a digicam to take pics of the whole setup and temps readings at full load if, if anybody will host them it woul be very much apreciated so u can all see what it is made off I must say I give it my 10 STARS

Well I better see if the cpu can take more oc in this setup.

    Edit : 1600+ @ 2100 Mhz 1.98 vcore damn I`m so impressed
back off cpu temp @ -4 full load, Evap temp -34.

They are pretty good results for a 1600+

So 2100 @1.98v that is stable, yes?
If so then that's a bonus.

I read somewhere, reports of the Prometeia having problems, they may have been wrong. I'll have to check it out some more.

They will fall at his feet....... But eBay @ZZHOLE still ripped me off!

    Hi Lord

The 1 I got have no probs at all in fact I think its one of the best coolers I have ever seen not many coolers can keep those temp`s on with that speed and voltage. And the assembly system is so simple and easy, with out fear of breaking the core of the cpu.

Wow, that sounds exactly like the trouble i'm running into with my Vapochill - my load temps are around 38-40C, no matter how many times I reseat it. I'd like to get some other type of phase change setup down the road, maybe this is the route to take. I'll keep an eye out for this in the states.

    Hi Neptune5k

Do you have the same problem with high temps on the vapo too,
pls write some more info on your system pls, i`m just about to contact Asetek about this issue.

Edit : well I can tell u this setup is 100 times easier to install than
the vapo is no chance of crushing the core, and temps speak for themselves if u havent checked them out here http://ny.liquidninjas.com/Pics/Prom...eprometeia.JPG

Odd to hearing about high Vapo Temps!!

I have a Vapochill not currently in use, but I was running
    a steady -12 to -9 fully loaded XP1800 1.98v running SETI
    @1950mhz.

P.s. Nice place you have here spotted a link from Icrontic
    glad I clicked it

Those are probably Evaporator Temps - completely different from teh CPU temps.

The temps I quoted were what was showing on the Vapo's
LCD, so yes I see what you mean CPU Die temp is more
likely going to poss. be higher esp considering where the
    thermal probe is located.

One thing I noticed about vapo's apart from the poor
mounting system is that there is not as much pressure
as you think being exerted onto the CPU Die, I ended up
adding a rubber O'Ring to the top of the Spring that is
compressed when you clamp the head unit down.

I am hopeing to at some point in the future experiment
with making a mixed Head unit employing Water cooled
    peltiers and the Vapo Chiller?

In the hope that the Peltiers will take away enough heat
that the Vapohead can keep sub-20 just need the tools
    to experiment one day.

My only concern is if the Vapo-system starts pulling heat from
the peltiers instead of allowing the peltiers to take away excess
    heat.

From everything I've seen, the temps posted here seem perfectly normal for a Vapo. Thing just doesn't take very high heat loads that well.

too true I have set my Vapo to 2.08v in the past and seen
the temps just spiral out of control, hits a point where it
just can't exchange the heat fast enough, have seen it settle
at about -4 full loaded for a min then just loses it until it hits
the reset point and it does not matter how many large
fans you slap on the thing either not had much probs
    when kept to sub 2volts

    quite low.

just the inbuilt case fan/case suxx. put a nice quit case with watercooling and pelts on the vidcard above it and you have silent mayhem

check thread on intel for temps with p4... how does -19° cpu temp/-44 evaptemp @ 3.2 gig sound

    Hi all

Well regarding the noise of the prometeia its less noisy than a vapo thats for shure, and the uppercase is not so nice, but whta the heck they need to make it cheap right, so I am buying a new alucase for it, maybe the new TT serie looks cool. I`m having an electrician looking @ it right now to make a solution to ma´ke the fans run a little slower easy done he says .

Ok man.. Start spittin it out.. What is the specs on the compressor.. HP and what not..

Take some pics of the whole compressor area if you could.. also you might get better performence from this if you put another fan on that condensor. But kick some stuff over man.. i gotta know how they are getting -40C with r-134A and not having that sucker in a big vacuum.. i need to know the HP of the compressor!
