    Asus P5k3 Deluxe Overclocking

The overclock results for core 2 Duo e6850 using chipset Intel p35 is good : the processor can work with 575 MHz system bus frequency . For the pre-series motherboard this a completely pleasant result - not all motherboards on base of chipset Intel p965 are capable to overclock the fsb more than 550 MHz .
    http://xtreview.com/addcomment-id-23...rclocking.html

The board consists of 4 DDR3 slots supporting up to 8GB of DDR3-1333/1066/800 non-ECC unbuffered memory. The board supports CrossFire with the 2 PCIe x16 slot, one operating in 16x while the other in 4x mode.

The ICH9R supports 6 SATA II RAID 0,1. There is an additional PATA and SATA controller based on Jmicron JMB363 and it supports SATA RAID 0,1, and JBOD. Other features on this board includes Dual GbE featuring AI NET2, ASUS WiFi_AP Solo for Wireless LAN connection or change it to a Access point mode. The audio on board uses the ADI AD1988b 8 ch hda codec with Coaxial optical S/PDIF out ports at the back of the panel. 1394a is also available on board powered by the Agere chipset.

The P5K Deluxe is the DDr2 version of this board, the only other difference is it doesn't have a heatsink between the memory slots and the processor socket

Not if you run a 1080p display or a 30" PC LCD.

The heatpipe game is getting out of hand...

I wonder if that is real copper or just painted aluminium....
Anyway it still not matches the MSI version of P35,it seems that the one who created those heatpipes was a rollercoaster designer

That GEIL DDR 3-1066 (6-6-6-20) seems to go up pretty good! 1437MHz !

If we only knew how much will they cost when they hit the shelves.

IMHO, it'll be like DDR 2, you can make a DDR2 533 go up real easily if you get a good batch of chips... So I think it'll be the same case for DDR 3
