If anyone wants to know the difference with 2 stage regulators, Walt explained it on my thread from a while ago;
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=126087
There is also some close-up pictures of my regulators I use with those two cylinders to give you an idea .
Btw if your bottle is high pressure it's a good idea to chain them up so they can't fall over, I will upload a pic of how I have mine later if you want?

its ok, brett you can upload anything here as long its not oot ....
anyway this is excatly the same as reg that i wanna buy, except mine has 3500psi high, dont remember the low pressure... CO2/Argon/Nitro is the same model here...

That regulator looks good... I assume the gauge is for bottle contents and the flowmeter will tell you what the output flow rate is.
EDIT: Here are a couple of pics ;
Yes, I know it's a bit overkill, but better safe than sorry . I can move the cart around without any of the cylinders falling.
Big thanks to Bill for helping me out with the Co2 . I also need a regulator for that bottle, I will see what I can get.

Pics are in the post above. Posting this so you know i've replied to the thread .
got my CO2 regulator today
put to the tank, and i got 1000psi and 70kg/cm2

I love the step by step. Subscribed!
i got messed up with my HX so that i have to change it. now its 1.5m of 1/2" and 1x1/4" inside... would it be ok to condense CO2? is it too short?

Ryba,
You're limited to 30PSI discharge pressure - Yes?
This means you physically can't static charge a system above 30PSI - Yes?
Tom
"What will become of us, will we evolve"
Tom, that was what i thought... the low side limited to too low pressure, havent try to charge to compressor though. what if i use a used empty tank and suck co2 with compressor to the empty tank? i have empty Hydrocarbon tank here. it looks good... anyway the tank says AR22, do you guys now what gas it is?

Hi Andre,
I don't understand what you mean but it doesn't sound good...
Can you explain some more?
Tom
"What will become of us, will we evolve"
INSTRUCTION!!:
1. charge 2nd stage to max static pressure -> above 3bara
2. cut off valve on regulator and botle
3. turn on 2nd stage
3. switch on valve in the botle ten cut off again
4. swich on valve in regulator
CONCLUSION -> wow, you charged your 2nd with small amount r744/r1150, few amounts and you have charged to the optimal pressures.
Now you understand??

thx for the explanation ryba, but i think im not gonna use lots of CO2 on 2nd stage.... im guessing 30-40psi static charge would be ok and the rest is R22. i want to avoid dice problem so no need much co2... cmiiw please...

Your tank transfer idea may kill you, can't you see the difference in tank wall thickness from a co2 tank to empty tank, hydrocarbon you said.
You were told about regulators and what not to buy,but you purchased it anyhow.
never add co2 in second stage while running it compressor, always static charge at ambiant temps may take 30 minuites or more. other pressure will build as unit warms and you will have no way to stop it,unless you put in a pressure relief valve.
even that co2 sublimes @ -78C it freezes at -58c giving dry ice problems. I don't like co2 as its currently used.If you can't get below -58c its dry ice problems.
Co2 may eventually be a major refrigerant but used in its supercrtical state in a transcritical system.

thx for your advice walt. i really appreciate it. i will not do the transfer idea.
as for regulator, thats the best i found here walt. if i found better i would definetely buy it. but for now i have no other choice. so far its doing fine...
about charging, i will never charge while system is running, thats too dangerous as far as i know.

CO2 is being seen in more supermarkets lately, may be transcriticle or liquid state, I didn't see the details, its on RE forums if ya want to have a gander in the industrial area.

today i finished 1st Stage + oil separator.... some pics
1st Stage Charge with R502
Oil Separator
1st stage running...
1st stage Pressure @ 29.5c ambient (10ingh low/190psi high)
temp: -45c Outlet HX and -42c 6" from accumulator
dont have the pic but the static pressure is arround 150psi @ 29.5c.... a bit too high/overcharged i think. now i leak testing it with 150psi. hopefully no leak.

ok, thx for advice luke... with more insulation + lower ambient hopefully i can achieved lower temps. tommorow i'll try to finished 2nd stage.
do you think i should add accumulator on 2nd stage? i have death rotary here, im thinking of using the accumulator.
