What size of fan can you attach to the heatsink? It looks to be like a 40mm? 60mm?

Oskar Wu has really made some excellent BIOS no doubt about that. But with Intel and the MC not on die, wouldn't it be kinda difficult to make killer BIOS like there were for NF4 DFI series ?
    Pardon my noobness

    nice results there!!
what are the temps like?I'd love to see a quad oc on that board too but it's looking good there even though we've waited a long time for it and there were rumours about DFI not making a 680i board anymore

I think everyone's been a noob before gathring a lot of knowledge and becoming a pro so as ar as the noobs go i think we've all been there and are still learning from the best of the old NOObs

ok that was not my point...the point was that since this is most mobo will certainly be really expensive that will keep most noobs away from it.
but i do get that you mean we all have been noobs when we first started to get into computers.

    500MHz FSB is great man

what is the highest FSB that chip did on any motherboard you tested so far

reason i ask is if that chip is capable of 550 on P965 for example there is still a bit of improving to do and may not be a flash of a result but nonetheless looks great...............best i could get out of eVGA 680i was 500MHz 1M SuperPI LOL

Finally looks like we have a 680i with a solid chipset cooler. Thanks for sharing. It's a tempting board. BTW anyone looking for the DFI forum can find it here:

yep the chipset cooler in this DFI board looks to be way more practical than these heatpipe contraptions on nf680i boards.

The NV 6xxi based boards are slightly faster in games and 3D benches from all the reviews I've seen, the P965 slightly faster at pi type benches
