ADP3189 is the same as what they use on the P5B if im not wrong... Check out the datasheets at Analog Devices, they list the grounds, etc.

^ Looks like the same mod. Is the board a reference model?

Just measure the resistance with a DMM and check if it is it. If it reports the same resistance as given on the Vr-zone site, then its it.

    Ahh.. gotcha.

Forgot about the LT versions. I just thought they might have done the same thing they did with all the 8800 cards (first black, then green)

we measured the resistance before the pencil mod...
    we had 0,86
after the pencil mod we had 0,54....
aparently the mod worked but there was no change in vcore.....

we really need to get this board to give more vcore

    any help would be great

The method to measure vcore was ...? bios or multimeter?
If not measure on the back of the mobo...on the coil.

BIOS.. probably the vmod can result but the BIOS does't read any vcore above 1.60v

The measure point is not the same of eVGA 680i

The two "R50" above cpu socket (back of mobo)...
Mosfets near too (front of mobo).
If reading fails check what underneath the mosfet ramsink above cpu soket

    Good luck N3RO
