    I need P5B-Dlx bios files

Asus in their wisdom has hidden bios files older than 1004 on their site.

I would like to get my hands on older versions as I haven't updated my Dlx yet.

I don't like getting locked into 1 bios as I run linux on it and I want to lfexibulity of picking my bios rev.

    Can anyone help here??

    ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/

Select the folder for your board and go nuts...

    I recommend the 910 official.

Are the bioses for the P5B Deluxe wifi and non-wifi exactly the same?
I am no finding anything under the non-wifi version of the P5B-D.

The P5B-Deluxe and P5B-Deluxe WiFi/AP models are the same board. The only difference is that the WiFi/AP bios comes with the WiFi disable/enable option in the USB settings. The bios's are interchangeable though.

Thanks guys but I don't see any bios files in the P5B-Deluxe section.

Plenty in P5B-E and Commando which are useful to me since I have those too but I can't find anything older than 1004 which I don't wanna install yet

Nevermind I'll get em from the wifi section then

Look at the WiFi/AP version folder for all the bioses previous...

    Here's the 910 Official: ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socke...P/P5BD0910.zip

I believe you can flash your bios with a USB flash drive. Which beats using a floppy, diskette or flashing from an OS.

    the bios is interchangable, YES

    but there are slight differences,
the wifi edition also has 3 more fan headers on the motherboard itself

^^ I think someone compared the pics before and it is true.

Any major difference between 0804 and 0910 ??? I am running 0804 pretty stable, but since I have some free time, thinking if flashing to 0910 will do me any good.

Hopefully OP don't mind me jump in questions like this.

I'm still using the 0614 with my e6600 I picked up another p5b deluxe and e6300. Flashed it to the 0910 bios, but it has trouble with this L2 stepping. I've got it at 7x485, it's stable, but sometimes on re-boot it will go to 333 fsb. Go into bios, still shows 485. I have to re-save and then all is good. Also, on the boot screen it shows cpu speed at 36.80 ghz

Extra memory compatibility for a wider range of dimms. Supposedly vastly improved the noise issues with the on board audio. Some people noticed there "popping" and "fuzzing" from the on board sound nearly disappear with this bios. Couple other minor things here and there such as updated jmicron rom and such.

Do those newer bioses (804, 910) solve double boot issue ?

I use 0614, rig for 24/7 runs at 410 fsb (667 ram so I dont want to push too hard- 2,8 ghz is enough for me) and every time I reboot (installing drivers etc) the board boots twice. Well known issue.
