    New OCZ PC2-6400 Flex XLC CAS 3

    I just received my new 6400 Flex CAS 3 sticks, thought I would show them off a little bit

    With the move to more and more ram, I figured I would start out with a 4GB config and move on from there.

    EVGA 680i with P24 Bios.
    Core 2 Duo E6400
    OCZ EVOStream 600W
    BBATI X1900XT
    4GB of OCZ PC2-6400 Flex XLC CAS 3

    Shots of the ram installed

    Nothing fancy here just stock ram speed and timings, I will post some quick and dirty overclocking before I retire.

    Bios shots:

    No fan over the RAM? And that 15 tRAS is kinda depressing. Can you not go any lower with 4x1GB?

    Not while I am trying to show pictures of the ram. When its running? Yes there is a fan over it.

    Stock speeds, mate, stock speeds I will get to the overclocked part.

    2.4V is rated for CAS 3 operation, the above was done with 2.3V set in the bios.

    Last one before bed, top speed so far with 2.15V set in bios, yes I know...I covered up the checksum, its not a WR

    Trfc is not available in the bios, so that huge number is what the board picks. It got late on me tonight, so no time to tweak everything down, but I did manage to get the subtimings a lot tighter than what the board wanted to set.

    Defaults were:
    Trc = 26
    Twr = 6
    Twtr = 11
    Trrd = 5

    Update to post 7, started Orthos before I went to bed, just adding that those settings are pretty stable.

    I assume these will be affordable? For 200-300$ they would not be bad

    cool but ur 8500 SLI EPP can do this:

    http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...2/Shot0054.jpg

    DDR2 830 3-3-3-2 1T 2.35v... with 2 sticks though, im sure its harder to OC at 4 sticks

    sub timing can be lowered to 1-20-2-6-2-3.9 for benching 3dmark, pi 32m, but i just use 1-44-3-6-3 for 24/7

    is it this one:

    Small update, wanted to show a little more stability at DDR2-1000 at 4-4-4 timings, my last post was at 491 4-4-4, just a touch more voltage and we have 500 at 4-4-4 timings.

    EDIT: Vid cards are 7800GT in SLI, btw.

    2.2V set in bios:

    Hey Ryder,

    What are their Reaction to voltage? And Temperature? And is your pair hand-picked? (I suppose not though)

    Thanks
