That's because most of the people who could vote voted when xp was still the best option.

Create a new poll and see how it goes.

Voted for XP64 SP2. I find it more robust than the 32bit version, but with less driver support. I've tried Vista 32 and find it sexy, just don't care for how it handles my sound card and the constant crashing in Quake4. My solution has been dual boot XP64/Vista32.

im not voting just yet..ive been using vista since beta and ive always enjoyed it..i went back to xp once to see if there was a difference in speed since everyone swears xp is soo much faster n better..i hated it..it felt sluggish to me ..used it for about a week and went back to vista x64 and been there since..tonight im installin win7 and going to give it a go..since now everyone swears the beta is better the vista sp1..so might as well give it a shot.. xp just doesnt do it for me..its old/ugly/sluggish/lacks dx10

also ubuntu is very nice ..if i didnt game id probably be on that..but i enjoy the ease of use with windows and all the games

Voted for W7 and Vista x64 Ultimate. Vista HP is about the same, but i do use Vista's backup features, so i prefer Ultimate over HP. XP is just too old and starts lacking nowadays. OSX... don't want to talk about it

For me, Windows Server 2008 with minimal roles and Desktop Experience (Aero) is the most stable but already Windows 7 64bit BETA is the fastest and so far very stable Windows OS.

As a TechNet member I can use any MS OS but for some the cost of Server or even Vista is high, so use Win 7 beta it's free (until August).

Yeah, probably need a new poll, windows 7 was not a choice for most of those that voted over past year, so really wont show anything other than that.

For me windows 7 64 bit. I must have voted for XP a long time ago, wont let me vote again.

Win7 Vista and Linux got mine.

XP is outdated to me and Vista works great and so does Win7
    Linux is on the laptop.

Not really a fair poll because Windows 7 was added after many people already voted.

Guys, I have Vista 64, but thinking of going Vista 32... is it worth it? I am having alot of issues with Nvidia plugins, etc.

Also thinking of going Windows 7, but not sure how the support compares to Vista.

    Thanks!

What for? If you have no issues with x64, the other one won't do anything good for you.
W7 support is almost none until they release stable version. Then probably about the same as Vista and growing.

Yeah changing OS isnt going to fix your problem. Its Nvidia not Windows.

Also what is your plugin problem?

nvlddmkm display driver stopped or a DirectX error occurred.

Also, UT3 won't play with my BOSE Driver...

I am pretty happy with Vista x64 so, not sure. I think I will do a clean install and just re-do everything all over again. :-/

I always come back to XP Pro... However, Windows 7 is looking promising. Already had a bit of fun with that. Lets just hope Microsoft doesnt screw it up again like Vista

I <3 Vista 64 on my desktop and tablet.

I <3 Gentoo Linux on my server.

Windows 7 also looks like it's going to be very good.
