    First dremel mod

so i just figured out my dad had a dremel and my friend and i decided it was time for some hardcore case mods! We got it going and removed the fore and aft fan grillz. I have an x-crusier case by aspire and it had 2 80mm fan grillz in front but the grill on the case door was a 120mm so we dremeled the 80s out and now a nice blue 120 sits there! in the back the holes in the metal were small so i got rid of it and my temps have gone down a lot. I will include some pics of the finished product. i will get Some pics of the during when i get my other camera back. i had a great time doing it and encourage anyone with a dremel to start adding some personality to your case p.s. the cd drive looks so cool when spinning

    Nice job.

But for projects like making fan holes, it is much easier, and comes out cleaner if you use a hole saw instead.

did you get your G15 solid black or did you paint it? All the G15 I have seen including mine is silvery up ton with black on the sides. The all black looks much better imo.

safety goggles rule, I cut a 80mm fan exhaust for my case and had a steel shaving in my eye for a couple days, worst experience ever.

Hehehe safety goggles for wimps? When I soldered something without safety goggles, some of it exploded and it got stuck on the skin that is right between my eyes. When I was messing around with a drill, a tiny piece of copper that had a pointy end and was in a spiral shape flew out and almost hit my eye. I didn't realize what would've happened to my eye if I didn't have those goggles until I saw that little piece of metal...

Yeah, safety goggles are a neccesity. I also got a metal shaving in my eye cutting steel at work. I figured since I had glasses I would be fine. That was a mistake. It was a miserable experience.
