You got Defogger Grid Kit or Adhesive ? I just bought the adhesive from Ace Hardware PI Mall, and i can't found it at Puri Mall. According to Ace's Costumer Service (via email), the adhesive only available at PI Mall, Blok M and Pasaraya, and the Defogger Grid Kit will be available at June . That's too long

    no go here.
    damn
    whats wrong?

i used this pen and waited for it to dry 15min.

    result:

    im using the DS4 mobo.
i can boot up at 9x350 over that and the computer wont boot up.
if i use Easy Tune5 i can easy get 9*390 and its stable but i cant boot at 9*390 so i have to clock the last bit from Easy Tune,no big deal.
400Mhz and the computer hangs so i guess thats the Wall with E4300.

as for Easy Tune5 i have found a bug.
1.58V is max over that and the computer shuts down.
i can go for 1.6V or more in the bios but as soon Easy Tune starts the computer shuts down.
what the hell is this limit for?
anyone know i you can disable the Vcore Limit in Easy tune5?

im using watercooling so the temp isnt a problem

could it be that you are using ds4 rev1? been waiting for feedbacks about it but it doesn't support a higher strap other than 1066. i believe for it to work, our mobo should support the 1333 strap. thats what i read on other pages here...
goodluck, though i can be wrong

My p5b deluxe doesn't seem to like this mod, it get's stuck in a reboot cycle with BIOS 1004(haven't tried any other BIOS). I was reading on other forums and I'm not the only one with this problem on this mobo, so is there any other way of doing it, cause if not, I'm getting a e6300/e6400,

I think we need to start making a list of what mobos support this mod. So far i know the p5b does not and I know one of the Gigabytes doesn't also,

Why doesn't the p5b? P5B supports up to e0 conroes (1333) with latest bios. And 266 has been supported since the start. If it's not taking the 200->266 mod, then you're not doing it right. If it's not taking the 200-333 mod, then it could be bios/motherboard.

It's possible some boards boot using known default settings coded in the bios after reading the chips microcode ID, thereby ignoring those pin signals completely.

My Asrock Conroe865PE board does not seem to work with this mod, after downgrading the BIOS to v1.40 (which does not officially support E4300), the board boots up at 266MHz FSB, even in the bios the auto setting shows 266MHz, so the board must be ignoring the FSB pin signals, mod was removed to verify this.

i have this board too, and you can boot any processor to 266 just by putting the overclock jumper

I've tried the repair kit, conductive pen & even using copper wires MULTIPLE times and nothing. I know I read somewhere else someone with the same mobo had the same problem but I guess I'll wait for someone else to try it and see what BIOS they are using if it was successful,

Yes you can overclock to 266FSB but not with the "auto" (where it defaults to 200FSB) setting with any bios later than v1.40, v1.5 and 1.6 you need to manually set the FSB to 266, you have a E6600 of course it defaults to 266 :P

If it doesn't work you could try an older bios >pre< E4300 microcode support.

Some good & bad news for P5B deluxe owners. Good news is using any BIOS from 0711 and down automatically boots the E4300 @ 2.4GHz without doing any mods but you do get a CPU ucode loading error every time you boot. Now for the bad news, overclocking is not improved, the FSB "wall" is the same, at least on mine. Also, after modding the CPU, it now boots but no change in the FSB "wall" either but I'm still testing and I'll report back if anything changes,

With BIOS 0711 & down, mod or no mod, it boots at 2.4GHz(266FSB) automatically. Modded, with BIOS 0804 and above, it doesn't boot, just gets stuck in a reboot cycle. As for the other question, look below,
