I just started planning my own version of what you are doing yesterday! It's great I get someone to look at so I can learn for myself.
The access point I'm using block's images from whichever host you are using, so I will have more to add once I return home. I can't wait to see your progress.
    Best of luck,

Great another Cubo modder, damn these things are taking over the world Looking good mate , keep it up , this is the fun stuff once you go into details it will move at a much slower pace...

Love to see it when it's finished ...

Hey I was wondering what you did your drawings ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/MrMage/case5.jpg ) with? Over this summer I came up with a design concept, and I've been working on it further, but I want to make more detailed drawings, such as you have.
    Keep up the good work.

Got more done today! I'm on a roll!

Before I show the pics, I just want to say that this gel stuff from petras tech works amazingly well, my pump vibrates no more, and its a D5!

    Installed the fillport

    Another shot

Here are the holes I cut by hand with my dremel

Good one mate , things start to fall nicely together, are you gonna powdercoat the alu or leave it like this ?

Also is the NB gonna be cooled aswell via H2O, I only spot some copper heatsinks on it , is that sufficient to warranty a stable overclock ?

I would like to paint the alu, but I am not sure when I will get to it. I saw your post of your cube, and it looks great as well, but I was curious, how much was it to powder coat it? And, where did you send it to?

In the near future I do plan on putting a nb wb into my loop, along with a dual ddc+ pump setup, but for right now, I have a pure copper heatsink on it.

If you’re going to paint the case because it is alu you will need to prime it with etching primer or the paint will just flake or chip away.

Good work on the case though, look forward to seeing it all finished.

Yeah, I tried painting alu on a project a few years back w/o primer.. the paint didn't last a week =(

Question: Is the temperature diode on this digital thermometer(http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v6...t=P2141188.jpg) waterproof? If not, is there some way to seal it, and still have an accurate reading? I want to put it in one of my tubes to get the water temperature.

Stayed up all night.. finished transferring all the components into my case, besides cable management and adding come cathodes, putting some flooring, and cleaning up the cd drive cut-out, the inside is done!

    And it booted up!

Initial test show temps dropped 10c @ idle to idle at 18-19c, load temp dropped 15-23c to load at 37c!

P.S. The temp readout on the front of the case is reading inside case temp.

Will post more pics tonight, for now, I need sleep!

I got mine not powdercoated but airbrushed , painst resistant and it was lacked in a car shop... was around 75 euro's ( live in Belgium Europe)initially, but I went too hard on the abrasive side so he had to prime it a lot and so price went up .

I found a powdercoater for my next build and that is around 50 euro's, let's say 60 dollars or so

I still strongly advise you to relook at the northbridg cooling, those small coppersinks won't cut it for hours of online gaming or overclocking mate, you will have to figure something out with a a fan or so...maybe just the stock heatsink with a fan on it ?

Know I don’t think it is, and it would not be worth trying to make it waterproof in case it failed, what you need is an inline water temp monitor, then go about seeing if you can mod it so you can connect it up to your equipment.

At last, I can finally say good-bye to the worst block I have ever bought, the Swiftech Storm v2.

The block leaked on me, almost ruining my entire computer... and as I throw it in the garbage I hope I can finally... let go.

Heh, the thing decided to leak on me because it is poorly made, so I had to seal it up with this aqua seal stuff from home depot

Yes, I'm pretty sure it was an isolated incident and I got a defunct block, but trust me, the one I had was made like garbage.
