Ahhh ,finally. I´ve seen the light too....

After ABIT AW9D maxxed out at 430mhz bus and Evgas ty 420mhz and all that #¤"&% there is with all the 680i boards Im back to square 1. The Gigabyte DQ6 1.0 square.
Unfortenately I have to use one of my sons Corsair 6400C4D sticks as my ditto 8500 was put to sleep by the EVGA board. rip
All the V settings at max, exept for the CPU. And no, those temp readings are not from the TAT torture test. You have to put in another 10c degree for that..
I stopped the test after 10+ minutes just to rising it to 520 and 530mhz. Then there was some angry red fields at Orthos just after a couple of seconds at those speeds.
Hopefully that was memory related ones....
I wish there was a cpu for those speeds...
Whats ur oppinions about this mb?

I have an S3 and love it, so I can only assume that the DQ6 is better...You need to look in the BIOS thread to see if your current problems could be solved by a new BIOS. Trust me, I've used 5 diffirent BIOS's and s3 f7 is the best, I believe that would be f9 for you. Just read that thread and you'll find out everything you need to know.

are these gigabyte boards good? The s3 seems a good budget price.

Asus seems to get all the attention these days, but most Gigabyte owners seem to report nothing but stunning results time and time again. Good sign for Gigabyte if you ask me,

    It sure is Sly....
Ive walked thru mostly Abit and Gigabyte mb´s over the last 8 years...
Some Msi, Chaintech and an EVGA 680i..brrrrrr...

Never had some major problems with any of them. Except the one above...
But I recommend at least the DS3 model. We have 3 different Giga boards running right now here in our house. S3, DS3 and DQ6. Gigabyte have their problems too but I think it comes under the general hardware RMA.

I know Asus is a popular brand and a solid board but there are quality problems there as well.

OCing these boards is in parity with the best out there.
