I got a score of 48500 with a e4300 at 3.36GHz and a evga 8800gts at 626 core 903 memory. It seems really low. Any clue what would be causing this or if it is a problem for a lot of 8800 systems.

Have you got a 8800 GTS 640 or 320mb?
A 8800GTS 640mv with a ~3.3Ghz C2D should score between 50 and 54k. 48500 is on the low side but not really bad either.

yeah its the 640mb version. Card is o/c to 640/1100
Vsync off ? + High performance on drivers
LOD settings ? Your's card temperature ?
