if this use internet we are having serious issue with the migration of all dsl user to 1mbps i have my internet at 128kbps right now
you know i dont have any issue helping but like this i wont be able to surf LOL

Rule of thumb is NEVER use a new OS from MS for at least 6 months from date of release.
Something to stick on a secondary partition and play with fine but not as your main OS..

im using RC 1 and it says i need .net framework and i ms says i have it with the windows and it doesnt want to install... maybe im just slow cuz im waking up LOL

I tested XP-32 (XPpro) vs Linux-64 (Ubuntu 6.10) vs Vista-64 (Ultimate). Not pure apples to apples since I didn't want to erase my Linux drive, but drive access shouldn't be an issue for single WU tests. E4300@2600 w/ 2gb DDR2 ("Allendale" in my sig).
I used the DNET client since it has both 32 bit and 64 bit Win/Linux clients each with multiple optimized code cores. Multiple runs, best repeated score recorded regardless of code core.
OGR-25 Tests (higher=better):
30,815,212 Linux 64-bit
29,810,689 Linux 32-bit
29,415,824 Vista 64-bit
RC5-72:
7,090,048 Vista 64-bit
7,041,319 Linux 32-bit
6,546,402 Linux 64-bit
Yep, upside-down depending which test was run. Vista only left ~640MB free for applications which was enough for me to nix it since Linux leaves like 1.6GB free.
