If so, maybe I should do some old school overclocking on a couple of my folding rigs... make them go faster than most other systems of their kind In the end might even help out their folding speed some
Yes, that's exactly how you get some points with cheap hardware.

I bet there are a lot of points to be earned for those who still have a good overclocking xp1800+ lying around.

By the way, this guy achieved 175 points without any expensive hardware. The most expensive item he used was probably a 4200+ X2.

Just like I said more of a little
It been humiliating enough for me to bench my 6600DRR2 but I did it coz I found some challenge to get to the top spot right know I can add 20point(guaranteed top spot in all benches ) with my 1GHZ Celeron and radeon 9200 AGP but I find it even more humiliating

Any ideas when, or how stats get updated; for example I've submitted a few results and I'm in positions where some points should be awarded, but I haven't yet recieved any I notice some of my results also have an n/a next to them, not an overall position, are these results yet to be updated & awarded?

Although some people have these n/a results & have been awarded points, like on this page for my 1.1 Celly: linky to HWbot results The guy now in 3rd has an n/a, but has been awarded silver. Ta,

    Jim

n/a means it's hasn't received a global rank. Only your best result gets ranked globally. It also means you won't receive global points for it.

It does not mean you can't get hw points for it.

    eg. you have 2 results:
    3Dmark01 20000 points with R9800 Pro
globally ranked 3406th = no points (not in top 150)
hw rank 10th 9800Pro = no points (not in top 5)

    3Dmark01 6000 points with GF2 Pro
globally ranked n/a (because your best 3d01 score is with r9800) = no points
    hw rank 2nd = 1.4 points (in top 5)

=> the GF2Pro result will not have a global rank, but still has points because of the hwpoints.

My mobo doesn't go higher than 150 fsb (Asus CUBX-E is a 100fsb board) and I don't have a clockgen, easy pickings

Hey RB there is no category for wprime on the P4 560 series. There is one for the 540 but not for the 560. I've submitted a wprime 32m and 1024m score on my 560 but since there is no category for it I haven't received my points yet In a day or so I will be submitting my #1 place 540 scores for wprime 32m and 1024m. I need my 4 points RB lol Bah my sig hasn't updated...

Tonight is gonna be a cold late bench night with the window open..... Brrrr!

I'm off the blocks with about 10 points so far, and I'm cleaning up my old Abit KT7 for a bit of T-bird benching tomorrow hopefully. I don't think my sigs updated just yet, but I'm making some progress, and looking forward to the weekend

OK. . .I just registered as philly_boy. Tomorrow I'll put the reviews on hold and set up my SLi rig and see where it takes me. I'll try benching single and Sli cards. Phelan and INJViper will get together tomorrow as well as next week so we'll have lots of parts to mix and match when we bench.

Now if only the parts for my Intel test bed would arrive. . . .

With the way I am going you want have to worry about me. I will say that this is a good learning tool for me. I was haveing trouble overclocking my graphics card, but found the right tools to do it. I currently have 10 points. Will keep pushing to see what I can do.

Looks like this competition is helping XS crush Team OCX, almost a 500 point margin now.
