Any score updates guys?

You can't get points if you don't get in the top 5, correct?
Because I realized there's no way I'd get close to those guys....
If you get points for non-top 5 I'll all the benchmarks, but honestly...I have a oced 7900GT running at 690/790, waiting on some ramsinks so I can push the core over 700 and up the memory, an oced E6600 running at 3.1-3.2 (I know, poo, but whatever), and I'm getting 5.7k in '06...the 5th place in '06 is 2000 more .

So many catagories to get points in.
I was also thinking that the scores you submitted here on XS in the past would also be legal to submit to hwbot as long as you own the score.

It can be done, just take some effort. Just think to yourself 4GB of ram...

That'd be a really good idea as you would be able to follow the contestants here:Originally Posted by FUGGER

At the end of the contest, just random pick a member with more than 50 points.
@Shpoon, no you do not need to be in the top 5. You need to be in the top 150. The more popular the benchapp is, the more points you get for a good oc (eg superpi >> pcmark05).
You need to be in the top 5 of a specific processor / videocard to earn extra points (hwpoints). eg, having the third E6600 in superpi will get you points too, even if your score isn't in the top 150.
Check the faq section of hwbot.org to know more about the algorithm.
Thanks for the clarification on those points RB
This contest was geared to anyone who wanted to take the time and try could compete.

I'll check later...(it's down right now).
But either top 5, top 150, or top 5 for your specific hardware to get points?
Ugh....I might be able to manage 2 points tops
I'm gonna download all the old 3dmarks, I'll run them tommorow...
We're back up. Just moved to a dedicated server.
It might take up to 24 - 48 hours to make hwbot.org point to the new server. For those who can't wait that long:
http://213.193.228.70/
I noticed the new IP, google links to the correct IP but when on the website the IP addie is listed rather than the URL. Glad to hear you have your own snappy server now
i am not sure how the score is done, so far no scoring update. BTW, do we have to enter ALL the benchmark to get the score or just get the top performance in the benchmarks to get score to 50 (seems impossible for my system)
if i could get pcmark's to run i could enter them, and aquamark phails hard to. can't get anything to run.
no way am ever getting that many points. and i think thats the point of it. yay another way for the rich to get richer. woohoo
edit: is there any way i can get my points deleted or goten rid of?

All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
There are so many fields to enter in, just look for the more obscure processors and videocards and try and snap up those points. Ask your friends if you can run a 30 minute test on their hardware and submit them under your name. Sometimes even a 0MHz overclock + OS tweaking will result in point-worthy scores.Originally Posted by flclisgreat
