    E6600 L629F + Dry Ice

I picked up some dry ice tonight, and started testing my new chip. Unfortunately they only had eight pounds of dry ice left, so I only tested max clocks in 1m, 32m, PiFast and '01. Seems like this chip has FSB wall around 533fsb on dry ice, which is to bad; it won't boot into windows at 4800mhz, but I can run 1m and PiFast at 4768mhz(possibly a little higher) at 1.7v. Look for more results with this chip and tweaking over the weekend.

    E6600 L629F221 (From Tankguys)
    Rev. 2 Mousepot
    DFI Infinity P965
    Crucial 10th Anniversary Ed. 2x1gb
    EVGA 7900GT
Antec 450w PSU (Probably holding me back, but it's all I've got)

    1m @4768mhz (1.7v)

    PiFast @4768mhz (1.7v)

    32m @4725mhz (1.75v)

I could probably have run the 32m at 1.725v, or a little higher mhz, but I was running out of dry ice and just jacked up the voltage to where I knew it would be stable.

    '01 passed at 4700mhz with 1.75v or 1.725v, don't remember for sure.

It's too bad about the FSB wall though, with 1.75v, this chip could probably do 1m and Pifast at around 4.9ghz.

The Mousepot of course worked beautifully. Like an idiot I turned on the rig around -65C, rather than letting the pot go down to -78C, but even during 32m runs the temps raised by a degree at most. Keeping a tight sludge was really key to holding a hold, whenever temps started to rise I just had to pack down the dry ice and they would start to drop.

Solid results. Sounds to me like you could use some more vcore.

    Very nice results.
I wonder how u manage to run pifast at the same clocks with spi1m
Also, this dfi is a lot faster than p5b you have faster pifast than mine in 4812 Mhz

    Keep going

Because cpu isnt maxed out for spi 1M yet on these clocks most likely.

Yeah, they're not bad, but 9x multiplier really slows things down, especially 32m. Times are much better with 600mhz on the ram, but what can you do. I'm going to test out 4:5 at that FSB , but I'm sure it's a crap shoot.

Astri, I can run Pifast at same clocks as 1m because the CPU can go higher (for both actually), but it seems to have an FSB wall above 530 fsb. I'm going to try to get setfsb working before my next run to see if I can push farther with it.

run the 7900gt without the power connected , as long as you arent using it in 3d mode you will be fine but you can get more power for the CPU

Those L629Fs are excellent chips. 4.7Ghz at 1.7vcore is amazing.
