14 isn't supposed to be that bad but 15b03 seems to be getting praise.

Hey. I just updated to a Q9450 on this mobo using the 15 B03 bios. So far it is working fine at rated speeds. Will try OCing later once I get it burned in.

I didn't think the 45nm yorkfields worked with the 680i chipset. I'll be watching for your results. I have my q9450 paired with the evga 750i SLI right not. I'm able to bench @ 3800-3825, prime was stable @ 450FSB so far but 462FSB not quite yet. I doubt the abit will hit 400 though.

Well it 'works' with the Q9450 but it would not overclock hardly at all, and did not prove to be very stable. Had odd BIOS issues with it not saving settings, etc.. Granted this is 1.5 B03, but one has to wonder how much more development they will do with this board.

As such you can tell from my sig that I have since 'upgraded' to an ASUS Maximus Formula motherboard and a Swiftech H20-200 Compact solution for my CPU and eventually NB and GPU.

it doesn't have the necessary design (GTL iirc) for overclocking quads (65nm or 45nm), it's only ever going to get into middle 300s with them.
